The Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. (LAD) is currently accepting resumes for the following Civil Law Group position: Director of Fair Housing.

The Director of Fair Housing is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Fair Housing Center located in our Pontiac, MI office. Duties include, but are not limited to, the ability to implement and maintain a program that complies with all HUD guidelines and regulations, planning and execution of random testing in the local housing market to identify discriminating parties and retention of accurate and current test files, tester information, case files, time records and statistical data pursuant to Civil Law Group policies, procedures and funding source requirements.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of law and licensure for practice in the State of Michigan and Federal District Court. Five years general civil law practice, three years in a legal administrative or supervisory role and experience in Federal Court litigation strongly preferred.

Salary Minimum: $53,070 with excellent fringe benefits’ package.
