We are accepting applications from legal aid, legal services, and other non-governmental fair housing organizations to hire a law student intern to do fair housing work for the coming school year. We will fund up to 15 hours of work per week for up to 25 weeks at the stipend equivalent of $20/hour (i.e., a total of $7,500).
The process of applying is what we are calling the "un-HUD" process. No logic model, no factors (no debriefing or fruitless appeals either). Just a statement of no more than five pages describing: (a) your organization; (b) your need; (c) what the intern would be assigned to do; (d) how and by whom the intern would be supervised. It would be helpful to read our statement of principles before applying.
Email the statement as a PDF attachment to: lawstudentintern at fairhousingforall.org.
Application deadline is May 23rd. Further information may be requested. The plan is to announce a decision before the end of June.
Read our statement of principles.
